MedLink acquires MedAppz

Consolidation continues in the crowded but maturing EHR market. This week, MedLink International, a New York-based ambulatory EHR vendor, announced the acquisition of MedAppz, of Wichita, Kan., which offers the iSuite EHR and practice management system, aimed at smaller physician practices in 28 medical specialties. According to the companies, iSuite, built on the Microsoft .NET 4.0 platform and completely web-based, is one of just five EHRs "qualified" by CMS for direct EHR data reporting.
