Patient portal provider Medfusion has ended its relationship with Allscripts, citing "unresolved payment disputes." Medfusion had been indirectly providing its online patient portal and website solutions to about 30,000 Allscripts providers.
Users will not experience any immediate lapses in service and will have the opportunity to secure direct service from Medfusion, which has established a website about the transition.
"The end of a long-standing contract is never easy," Medfusion President Vern Davenport said in a statement. "However, for us at Medfusion, we believe that this is best for the healthcare providers and patients we serve." Announcement
