Sharon has more than 20 years of experience proving leadership consulting and project management expertise to healthcare executives and clinical teams in the fields of Lean Six Sigma program deployment, healthcare quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. As a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Certified Master Change Agent, Sharon has led Emergency Department and Operating Room process improvement initiatives in more than 45 different hospitals driving measurable efficiency, cost savings and patient experience improvements.
Sharon has been a repeat presenter at the OR Manager and OR Business Manager conferences. She works regularly with OR teams in the areas of OR governance, block scheduling, and OR utilization to improve key metrics around first case on-time starts, reducing same day cancelations, and decreasing room turnover times. Sharon has unique expertise in the use of benchmarking to reduce costs and improve efficiency in clinical environments.
