U.S. needs better behavioral healthcare

According to a report in Modern Healthcare, there's a growing need for quality behavioral healthcare. The report, created by the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems, showed that hospital admissions and average stays have been on the rise the last two years. The report stated, "To better meet strong demand for behavioral healthcare, hospitals have been adding beds and/or activating licensed beds within existing facilities." With residential treatment also currently on the rise, it sounds like the participating facilities sure could use a helping hand or two.
