Tenet has reported a Q2 loss of $398 million, due most to charges related to its Medicaid-overbilling settlement. In June, the company was was told it must pay $725 million to resolve outstanding charges that it improperly billed Medicare and violated other federal rules governing hospitals. The charges also include $17 million for litigation costs and $27 million for restructuring. Revenue for the quarter was $2.2 billion, representing a slight increase from $2.14 billion last year
