Tenet Healthcare CEO compensation totals $11.24M

At Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, President and CEO Trevor Fetter saw his total compensation exceed $11.24 million in 2012, according to data filed last week with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Fetter wrote to shareholders in the report that Tenet had a 58 percent increase in the value of their stock, "outperforming all but two of our closest peers and 26 companies in the S&P 500 index." Stock awards, option awards, non-equity incentive plan compensation, and change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings all helped raise Fetter's base salary of about $1 million to the whopping $11-million figure.
