Study: Medical bloggers risk patient privacy breaches
Comments
I believe this article brings up valid points. As a former Healthcare professional, at my Medical Group, we have a chat or blog or whatever one wants to call it, but patients openly discuss their cases, the problems they have had with doctors in the medical group or the one they have changed to. Most of us suffer from Fibromyalgia and some, such as myself suffer from CRPS/RSD and Fibromyalgia, and we are, by discussing our own cases, losing our legal health protection.
Thank you for bringing up a valid and potentially serious problem for both patients and doctors. I have personally seen KevinMD's blogs by the way.
It is a point I have never thought about much, but after reading the article, I am going to forward it to the Medical Group's site administrator.
