TV medical dramas like "House" are extremely popular with doctors-in-training. In fact, a recent survey published in The American Journal of Bioethics found that 76 percent had watched the hit show. Aware that such shows are a hot item with students, bioethics teachers are beginning to use them as fodder for classroom discussions, using situations arising in "House", "ER" and even the medical comedy "Scrubs" as a jumping-off point. Teachers say the shows are very helpful in getting students talking about important issues.
