SPOTLIGHT: Nurses spend one-fourth of shift bogged down with paperwork

Roughly three-fourths of nurses spend at least three hours of a 12-hour shift focusing on tasks such as redundant paperwork, entering and reviewing orders, and walking to equipment or supply areas instead of on direct patient care a survey of more than 1,600 nurses conducted by Jackson Healthcare reports. According to the survey's results, chief nursing officers (CNOs) are more concerned with coordination of patient care, and see lack of communication as having a significant impact on bedside nurses. if anyone wants to know why nurses waste so much time on paperwork, they need to look at JCAHO standards. Vague, useless, unscientifically supported requirements which are subject to interpretation are put on hospitals to turn into requirements for hospitals to put on their staff

I like the post which deals with the process and services given by the nurses to the wards patient with care.Integrating alternative medicine with mainstream medicine, as things stand now, would not be an advance, but a return to the past, an interruption of the remarkable progress achieved by science-based medicine over the past century.”I agree with one point that Vague, useless, unscientifically supported requirements which are subject to interpretation are put on hospitals to turn into requirements for hospitals to put on their staff.
