Chip giant Intel has been working quietly behind the scenes in healthcare with a team of over 200 people looking at ways to implant its technology within the fabric of healthcare. It has focused on developing smart communication and sensing devices for the elderly in their home. Intel is also working with partners to develop a prototype tablet specifically designed for clinical use.
