SPOTLIGHT: GE to help offset costs of EHRs, IT

On Monday, General Electric announced that it will offer hospitals and physicians no-interest loans to help them purchase electronic medical record systems until government incentives to purchase the systems become available. The program will provide upfront capital for doctors and hospitals that were worried or uncertain about making such a purchase.
