SPOTLIGHT: CA medical board withdraws charges against transplant surgeon
California's medical board has withdrawn an action that could have revoked or suspended the medical license of a transplant surgeon accused of attempting to hasten a patient's death to harvest organs. The surgeon, Dr. Hootan Roozrokh, had also been charged criminally in the case, which involved an unsuccessful attempt to get organs from a 25-year-old comatose patient. He was found not guilty in December last year. Article
