RWJF chooses hospitals for quality initiative

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has launched a quality project aimed at improving care in targeted communities, cutting down on racial and ethnic care disparities and providing healthcare reform models. The project, Aligning Forces for Quality, includes 15 hospitals in communities across the U.S., divided into two collaborative groups.

Aligning Forces also includes two initiatives, with one designed to find and test strategies that can help hospitals provide timely, effective language services to patients with modest English language skills, and another intended to identify and address racial and ethnic differences in cardiac care, then test solutions.

The two collaboratives conducting these initiatives will be overseen by The George Washington University Medical Center School of Public Health and Health Services, and led by the RWJF.
