Misys CEO quits in light of 'unacceptable' financials

Tools

Tom Skelton (photo) resigned his post as CEO of Misys Healthcare Systems Thursday, as its parent company reported a 22 percent drop in operating income at the healthcare division for the six-month period that ended November 30. From corporate headquarters in London, Misys boss Mike Lawrie called the Raleigh, results of North Carolina-based Misys Healthcare "unacceptable," the News & Observer reports. Paul Lewis, who joined Misys Healthcare this week as senior vice president of sales and services, was named interim general manager of Misys Healthcare. Skelton also gave up his seat on the parent company's board, among several management changes announced from London.

Comments

This piece about Tom Skelton is incomplete and unfair. You should have stated that there has been considerable, public, disarray on the Misys (England) Board, and they hired an investment banker to find a buyer. Why didn't you mention this?

Would you buy a system from Misys with all this going on?

Give the guy a break and print the entire story.
