Though Massachusetts General Hospital hasn't finished its investigation of Dr. Joseph Biederman's possible conflicts of interest, the hospital and Biederman have agreed that the psychiatrist will curtail his pharmaceutical industry-funded activities.

Just a few weeks ago, Emory University took away the chairmanship of one of its prominent psychiatric researchers after an investigation uncovered that he had not reported much of his income from pharmaceutical industry sources.

Once again, Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) applauded the move by the hospital, saying it was good to see action being taken.
