Everyone's ready to add their two cents about what healthcare needs when Obama's team takes office, and apparently, the Institute of Medicine is joining in.

In a new report, the Institute said that the HHS needs to streamline its operations. The IOM described the list of the HHS' responsibilities as "staggering" and said that the diversity of missions and goals was hampering its success.

However, the IOM stopped short of recommending a large-scale reorganization, saying that such a strategy was not the best way to support key decisionmakers at the agency.
