HHS awards $685M to help providers improve quality, care access

The Department of Health and Human Services will award $685 million to 39 healthcare organizations under the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative to help equip employees with tools that will improve quality of care, better support patient access to data and lower costs. Award recipients include the National Nursing Centers Consortium and the American College of Radiology. "These awards will give patients more of the information they need to make informed decisions about their care and give clinicians access to information and support to improve care coordination and quality outcomes," HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell said in the announcement.
