CMS solicits ideas for engagement models

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is soliciting comments through Sept. 15 about its proposed initiatives to test new engagement models for Medicare, Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program. CMS is particularly interested in evidence-based model that incorporate social and behavioral insights, as well as interventions and engagement that use methods from behavioral economics, social psychology, incentive design and other methods to drive beneficiary interest and engagement and encourage enrollment. The agency will likely separately solicit information requests for ideas on Medicare Parts C and D, Medigap organizations, Medicaid, Medicare-Medicaid beneficiaries, or CHIP managed care, according to the announcement.
