Lansdale (Pennsylvania) Hospital, part of the Abington Health system, has fired an emergency room technician who posted pictures of patient X-rays and two severed fingers and described different patients in her Twitter account, according to insurancenews.net via the Philadelphia Inquirer. The day before terminating Kathryn Knott, the system released a statement that she was suspended due to the nature of charges against her, saying it was investigating whether she violated patient privacy and the organization's social media policy.
