AboveHealth announces creation of Dolphin Group

San Diego e-health company AboveHealth said it is creating the Dolphin Group, a think tank which will focus on issues facing CIOs in the healthcare IT industry. The group held its initial meeting at America's Health Insurance Plans Institute 2005. AboveHealth CEO Jack Jackson says that the increasingly complex nature of health IT projects makes cooperation vital. "These large-scale implementations are influenced by economics, business, industry governance, user requirements, among many other things. The Dolphin Group intends to build a cooperative environment that leverages the collective experience and expertiseof its CIO members to help health plans chart an effective IT strategy in the face of these challenges."
