Rightly or wrongly, the public option has been a major sticking point in the health debate. Now, however, with a House reform bill passed and the Senate beginning floor debate, some Senate Democrats have begun to believe that they will be able to keep a public option in the final healthcare bill--at least if they stick with the conservative Senate version of the concept.
