In Massachusetts, legislators are considering what could be the harshest ban in the nation on drugmaker freebies for physicians. Under the Massachusetts bill, doctors who accept any form of pharma swag--even a pen, in theory--could face a $5,000 fine and two years in jail. Now, some Harvard-affiliated physicians (admittedly, physicians with some pharma ties) have come out out to oppose the bill. Blog [1]
