Radia Names Mary M. Kelly, M.D. as Chief Medical Officer

EVERETT, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Radia, Inc., a large private radiology/vascular practice in the Pacific Northwest headquartered in Everett, WA, has named Mary M. Kelly, M.D. as its Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

In this new role, Dr. Kelly will provide overall leadership of all medical operations, manage medical personnel and ensure that quality of care and service standards are in place. She will also oversee physician development and performance management as well as physician recruiting and retention.

After completing her diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Washington in 1984, Dr. Kelly joined the staff of Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound where she helped develop the nascent Breast Cancer Screening Program. She also served as chief of the Group Health Central Region radiology department from 1992 to 1995. In 1996 she became imaging director of the Providence Comprehensive Breast Center and its mobile mammography program (now part of the Swedish Cancer Institute). Since 2007, she has also directed imaging at the Swedish Ballard Women’s Imaging Center.

Dr. Kelly, clinical associate professor of radiology at the University of Washington, lectures on breast imaging and breast cancer detection. She has served as chair of the grants advisory board of the Puget Sound chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She recently was a member of the Board of Directors of Radia.
