NCPDP Announces Webinar on HIPAA-Mandated Medicaid Subrogation Standard Version 3.0

Informative Webinar Targets State Medicaid Agencies and Their Claims Processors, Commercial Payers, Consultants, Software Vendors and Others

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP), a not-for-profit pharmacy standards development organization, announced today registration is open for its Medicaid Subrogation Standard Webinar, which will take place September 30, 2010, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. EDT. The webinar will provide state Medicaid agencies and their claims processors, commercial payers, consultants, software vendors and other interested parties with an informative overview of the HIPAA-mandated standard and the role it plays in pharmacy claims processing and reconciliation.

The NCPDP Medicaid Subrogation Standard provides a consistent and well-defined transaction format for use in Medicaid Subrogation, which results in time savings and accuracy in subrogation transactions, reconciliation and recoveries. Participants will learn about NCPDP Medicaid Subrogation Standard Version 3.0, the Medicaid Subrogation process as it relates to Telecommunication Standard D.0, and new fields that were created in the Telecommunication Standard D.0 specifically for Medicaid Subrogation and that are crucial for successful subrogation transactions.
