Industry Veteran Kenneth Willman Joins ZirMed as Vice President of Payer Solutions and Strategy

Willman to Drive Efficient and Effective Payer Interaction for Streamlined Reimbursements

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Aug. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ZirMed®, a leading provider of revenue cycle technology and information solutions for healthcare, today announced the appointment of Kenneth Willman to the position of Vice President of Payer Solutions and Strategy.

Mr. Willman will hold responsibility for the management of payer interactions in order to ensure satisfaction for all stakeholders in the reimbursement process. His role will encompass all EDI transactions including, but not limited to, claims, eligibility inquiries, and remittances.  He will also manage ZirMed's extensive network of direct connections with payers and lead the development of new solutions in the payer market.

Prior to joining ZirMed, Mr. Willman worked for more than a decade at e-business initiatives within Humana where he improved efficiency of the reimbursement process and built multi-payer collaborations. He worked with other providers, partners, and payers to build real-time claim adjudication initiatives, liability estimators, and clinical exchange transaction solutions. He also launched a payer-sponsored ethnographic survey in order to understand payer difficulties in navigating systems in order to build more usable solutions.

He previously held a board of director position at the Texas e-Health Alliance, an organization uniting provider, corporate, non-profit and academic communities with policymakers. He was also on the board of the Northeast Kentucky RHIO, which provides regional extension center services and HIE technology to improve access to critical medical information at the point of care.
