, a division of Richardson Electronics, will introduce two significant developments at SIIM 2013 (Booth 521-523) including the Color LED Backlit wide-screen display and ™, a browser-based tool for assessing image quality on mobile devices and displays.

The new Image Systems 6MP Color Display is a 30-inch class wide-screen display which sets the standard for value, quality, flexibility, and accuracy in diagnostic displays. The color LCD display features LED backlights that provide exceptionally high brightness and contrast. The front and rear luminance sensors and features enable presentation of consistent diagnostic quality images that enhance workflow. Applications requiring a fusion of both high-fidelity grayscale and color images will benefit from this display, including PACS CR/DR grayscale images with color tools, PET, 3D, Cardiology, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Digital Pathology.

is a new tool designed to address some of the quality control issues currently present with the rapidly growing deployment of mobile devices. This tool provides users with more assurance that they are seeing the subtle details of an image, and provides administrators with a control tool to better understand, assess, and implement a quality control program around the performance of deployed display devices.

David Sorensen, Director of Operations/Healthcare for Canvys, will be presenting information pertaining to quality control of mobile devices in a session entitled “” during the 2013 annual meeting of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM). The session will be held from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 at the Longhorn Exhibit Hall Innovation Theater in the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine Texas. The session will be moderated by Dr. David S. Hirschorn, Director of Radiology Informatics at Staten Island University Hospital and nationally recognized speaker and researcher.
