JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- With the Administration's announcement that it will establish an annual enrollment period for Child Only policies to ensure that children get the comprehensive care they need, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida is pleased to announce that it will establish a process to resume the sale of Child Only policies. We are delighted the Administration took this action yesterday, July 27, 2010, to respond to concerns raised about the increased costs of covering children with preexisting conditions without an open enrollment period. Information on the availability of these Child Only policies will be communicated to agents, brokers and other parties in the near future.
