Clinical Psychologist
Minnesota Sex Offender Program
Moose Lake, MN

The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is seeking experienced, professional psychologists to become part of the treatment team at a state-of-the-art facility for the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of civilly committed sexual offenders. MSOP is a cognitive-behavioral program with an emphasis on risk reduction, relapse prevention, and client access to medical, psychiatric, vocational, educational, and recreational services. Job Description:
Provide comprehensive psychological services, including psychological evaluations, crisis intervention, and individual and group psychotherapy. Provide psychological consultation services regarding differential diagnosis, effective treatment strategies, risk management, and other related issues as requested. Provide leadership and clinical direction regarding overall program treatment model and treatment process. Present information regarding psychological assessment results, individual treatment progress, and other pertinent data to appropriate authorities. Provide expert testimony at court and Special Review Board hearings. Deliver specialized consultation within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Qualifications:
A doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) and licensure or license eligibility in the State of Minnesota are required. Skills to administer, score and interpret psychological tests and to write clear, concise and informative psychological reports. Ability to facilitate small and large groups, provide effective crisis intervention therapy to groups and individual clients, interpret and use psychological terminology, and understand psychiatric and psychological reports. Knowledge of therapeutic community and individual and group therapeutic techniques. Familiarity with functioning of various court agencies.
