Position Description

Southern Texas hospital is seeking a Director of Case Management. The position will be responsible on a 24 hour basis for the overall planning, development, implementation, and ongoing operation of the Care Management Department. The position will provide leadership and direction to staff members; coordinate activities to ensure a smooth continuum of care process throughout the organization; responsible for staffing and developing standards of operation, policies and procedures, quality management/outcome measures and the capital and operational budgets. The Director will ensure the department is in full compliance with standards/guidelines of the Texas Medical Foundation, Texas Department of Health, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and JCAHO. Qualifications include: RN with a minimum of a BSN, a minimum of 5 years experience as an RN in which clinical expertise and leadership have been demonstrated. Bilingual is preferred, but not required. The client will consider a Director of Case Management with this level of experience who is not an RN, but a bachelors degree is required. The position reports to the CFO of the hospital. Base salary compensation is $90K to $100K depending on experience. There is incentive pay based on reducing the length of stay. The bonus is paid quarterly and there is no cap on the bonus. Relocation assistance is available.
