Position Description

Physician Assistant needed in Illinois less than an hour from Chicago. PA needed for Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in med/shoulder and knee surgeries. This is a surgical position, duties including: Performing office evaluation of new patients and determine treatment plan in conjunction with the attending physician. Performing follow-up care for previous patients of the practice and treat appropriately. Assisting in surgery at the hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Center. Performing pre-operative education and routine post-operative care. Provide weekend coverage for hospital rounds. Participate in daily rounds at the hospital. Provide call coverage on a rotating basis. Prescribe legend and controlled substances. Order appropriate lab work and diagnostic testing. Monitor, review and interpret results of tests. Established practice, willing to look at new graduates. Salary range of 70-92k depending on experience as well as a full benefits package.
