Position Description

Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Position coordinates educational programs and activities designed to enhance clinical drug knowledge of staff pharmacists and increase their participation in drug monitoring, pharmacokinetics and cost containment activities. Provides pharmaceutical care to patients in assigned area of practice, implement cost containment programs, provide, drug information, education and clinical services which enhance the effectiveness of drug therapy and minimize patient risk. Bachelors Degree 5 year in Pharmacy. Licensed as a registered pharmacist by the State of Michigan. Two years hospital pharmacy experience or a ASHP Pharmacy Practice. ASHP accredited residency in Pharmacy Practice. Board certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, CPR Certified. ACLS preferred. Clinical practice experience preferred. Effective teaching abilities. Competent pharmacokinetic skills. Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Time management and organizational skills. Self directed. Independently mobile. Ability to make quality, independent decisions. Analytical and strong problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions. Salary 92K – 137K.
