Dir Physician Coding/Reimbur in IL - StaffPointe, LLC

Position Description

Specialty medical center in northern Illinois is seeking a Director of Physician Coding and Reimbursement. This position is responsible for assuring that physician reimbursement complies with all legal requirements, coding guidelines, and compliance standards. This individual will have significant interaction with physicians, providing physician education regarding coding and medical necessity guidelines as well as orienting new physicians. The position is also responsible for educating and mentoring the physician coders and monitoring accuracy and productivity, reconciliation of patients to charges and reviewing payments and adjustments on accounts. Qualifications include: 5 years experience in similar role; RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CCP certification required; managerial experience; degree in management helpful. Must be knowledgeable about various hospital EMRs, billing systems and encoding software. Interventional radiology coding skills highly desired. Technical expertise important, and ability to interact with physicians, coders and executive staff; must have experience with medical record audits, and knowledge of physician billing is a plus. Salary is from $65K to $85K depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance if necessary.
