Position Description

Large hospital system is seeking an Nurse Practitioner to work as a Employee Health Manager south of Tacoma, WA.

As the Manager you direct employee care and disability management and consultative oversight and management of the on-site Employee Health clinic. This includes managing the health of employees, using health history to develop a maintenance or health recovery plan and to include counseling on health-related matters as described in Employee Health department policies and standing orders.

Duties include physical exams; ordering and performing basic tests; prescribing medications; administering follow-up direct care for worker injuries and illnesses; along with assisting in evaluating work capacity and extent of disability; perform within scope of practice psychological assessment of the impact of work related illness or injury particularly those which may delay recovery/return to work and makes recommendations for or provides appropriate intervention.

REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority
- Washington Licensed
- Current BLS
- Federal DEA number
- Ambulatory care or urgent care setting
- Occupational Health experience including Employee injury/illness prevention, clinical assessment, Employee health counseling and implementation of work-site health promotion strategies
- Clinic management and oversight along budgeting and technical writing skills preferred
