Position Description

Large, prestigious health care entity in central Texas is seeking a candidate with CCS, CPC, CPC-H, RHIT or RHIA with 2-3 years experience. Must have current knowledge of ICD-9-CM, MS-DRGs, POA and IPPS reimbursement rules, and familiarity with the MS-DRG revenue cycle process. The position will staff and manage the HIM DRG revenue cycle team working on site or remotely. The position will oversee the DRG revenue cycle team across the system; direct and coordinate the activities of on-site and remote inpatient coders. The incumbent will also share organizational responsibility for oversight and management of the MS-DRG revenue cycle across the system and organizational boundaries. Revenue cycle activities include admissions, registration, coding charge description master, claims submission, pre and post claim denial management and feedback. Salary is from 55K to 62K.
