Position Description
Occupational Therapist – Team Leader
MossRehab is currently looking for a Full Time Occupational Therapist to become part of our team here at the Albert Einstein Medical Center. We are a level one trauma facility located in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Albert Einstein Medical Center, with more than 700 beds, is a teaching hospital offering a full range of advanced health services to patients of all ages in the Philadelphia Community. Our specialties include routine to highly specialized medical and surgical treatment. Some factors that contribute to our top rankings are specialized intensive care units, state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient operating suites, a Level-1 trauma center, the latest diagnostic technology, and a high level of commitment from our dedicated and experienced staff of physicians and nurses.
In this role, you will assume immediate responsibility for:
- Performs evaluation and treatment of patients/residents upon referral to relieve pain, prevent disability, develop and improve skills and restore function.
- Provides service to adult, older adult and frail elderly age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
- Facilitate a high quality of patient care and serve as a resource for other occupational therapists.
- Work with staff at all levels to identify training needs to further develop the staff members expertise and to maintain a high standard of care.
- Enhance the delivery of occupational therapy services, facilitate clinical research and investigation, and/or develop educational programs.
If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:
- Bachelors Degree, entry level Masters Degree, or Bachelors Degree plus certification in OT from an AOTA accredited curriculum required.
- At least 4 years of clinical experience required with demonstrated outstanding clinical skills in an area of interest; at least two years of clinical instructorship preferred.
- Should have expertise and leadership in a clinical area as demonstrated by post entry-level education, teaching, program development, research, publications, and/or presentations.
- Internal candidates consistently meet all performance appraisal standards.
- Familiarity with research design, statistical analysis and proposal development preferred.
- Pennsylvania licensure in Occupational Therapy required.
