Position Description

Cardiac Nurse Practitioner needed for temporary assignment in western Maryland. This is a temporary assignment while several staff members are on FMLA. Work FT days. Provides clinical expertise in physical assessment and nursing management of the pre-operative patient. Directs care of surgical patients in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists and surgical team. Provides education to patients regarding the perioperative process, health promotion and maintenance. Consults with ancillary professionals as needed. Minimum 3-5 years clinical and acute care nursing experience required along with current CPR/BLS and Maryland license. Previous surgery or cardiac experience preferred. Prefer DEA licensure and Acute Care Practitioner Certification.
