Advanced registered nurse practitioners are registered nurses prepared in a formal education program to assume an expanded role in providing health care services. This practice utilizes in-depth knowledge of physical assessment and management of illnesses or conditions within the advanced registered nurse practitioners scope of practice. This practice includes collaboration with other licensed health professionals such as physicians, pharmacists, podiatrists, and nurses. The advanced registered nurse practitioner will work directly with the medical director on issues related to patient care management.
