The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Oracle are collaborating to offer the latter's cloud-based identity management solution to smaller provider organizations. UPMC will assist small and mid-sized hospitals in implementing Oracle's CloudConnect Health IT solution, which enables comprehensive management of computer accounts.
"Not a lot of people are selling specific to health care," John Houston, vice president of information security and privacy at UPMC, told the Pittsburgh Business Times.
