Physician Wellness Services Hosts Webinars for Healthcare Leaders on Organizational Culture and Its Impact on Physician Relations

(PWS) will host free webinars for healthcare leaders on and addressing organizational culture and its potential impact on physician engagement, retention and recruitment. The Jan. 16 session will be led by Liz Ferron, MS, LICSW, PWS senior consultant and manager of clinical services, and , M.D., PWS consulting physician. The Jan. 30 session will be led by Ferron and PWS consulting physician , M.D.
Both sessions will cover the findings of the recent PWS/ , which found substantial gaps between physicians’ satisfaction and experience with 14 key cultural attributes in their healthcare organizations, and the companion study of hospital administrators, which found they consistently feel their organizations perform better with regard to cultural attributes than physicians think the organizations perform.
“At a time when physician engagement is critical in effectively addressing the changes impacting healthcare, we looked at an important factor physicians tell us is central to their sense of engagement: organizational culture,” said Dr. Whitlock. “Closing organizational culture gaps can have a strong positive impact for healthcare organizations seeking to promote physician satisfaction and loyalty. In these webinars, we will present the study findings, discuss the implications, explore solutions, and address questions.”
