21st Century Oncology Holdings victim of hack

An organization that operates cancer centers across the U.S. was the victim of a cyberattack last year, it recently announced.

21st Century Oncology Holdings, which operates 145 cancer treatment centers in the U.S. and 36 in Latin America, had one of its databases hacked last October. The database included patient names, Social Security Numbers, physicians' names, diagnosis and treatment information, and insurance information, according to the organization.

Patients are being notified and 21st Century Oncology Holdings is offering a year of credit protection services. Announcement
