Telemedicine growth examined

The combination of telemedicine and kiosk technology appears to be a winner when it comes to motivating people to track their health. The Associate Press looks at the move to embrace the technology on the part of some providers. The American Telemedicine Association reports that the number of companies manufacturing home telecare devices has tripled. Association executive director Jonathon Linkaus says the number of hospitals and clinics in North America using some form of the technology has risen to 3,500 from 2,000 six years ago.
